Hard work pays off

Since the last time I blogged, I have been working really hard on my photography. I have taken a second computer graphics class and I have learned a lot (Patrick Mermel .. you're awesome). I shot the band for a few more months and then we parted ways. I have shot a couple other bands, but mostly just my kids and some flowers. I have shot one wedding (with photoshopping done by my dear friend Sam .. aka the bride) and I just did a maternity shoot for my friend Samira. Here is some of what I have been working on ..

I just got out of my photography class and I am really thinking about my assignment .. COMPOSITION. We must take 6 pictures that fit each of these fields: FRAMING . TONE & CONTRAST . COMPOSITIONAL BALANCE . LINES . SPACE AND PERSPECTIVE . and VIEWPOINT. I have a few ideas of shots I want to get. I already know the subject of my shoot. (The funny thing about it is .. my teacher did too.) DOWN THE BOULEVARD ROCKS !! Those boys are my inspiration! I don't think they have any idea how much of an impact they have had on my life over the past few months. I feel like my creative block has been lifted. Ok .. I just requested help from the man that I would like to mentor me: Ed, manager for Down the Boulevard. He has experience and we have a common goal: to see these boys make it .. of course with our help! LoL

I am currently enrolled in a computer graphics class. I am doing my best to learn this program and apply it to my photography. I have done a few pics and am happy with the turn out thus far. I know with time I will get more skilled and everything .. So .. for now .. here are a couple photoshopped images :o)
